I started my career as an edit assistant at Meridian TV in Southampton in 1998. During my time there I trained in graphics, editing and sound. I progressed up the ranks and soon was editing network television, news and promos. I cut on Lightworks, Avid, FCP and the linear DigiBeta tape suites.
As I was staff, I spent several months working in different studio roles on a wide range of output. This included sport, children’s TV, current affairs and game shows. This unique multi-skilled background enabled me to experience each stage of production from planning to delivery of the master tape.
I left ITV in 2002 to join the freelance market and was represented by The Independent Post Co. in London for 2 years. In 2009 I moved to Bristol where I am based today. I also regularly work in Cardiff, Glasgow and London on Avid, FCP and Premiere Pro CS.
Many of the programmes I have worked on have won RTS and TV BAFTA awards. I am a member of Bristol Editors Network and live in the Cotswolds.
